To be a cost-effective provider of quality business development services, research, and information services in the field of entrepreneurship motivation and development and management of rural-tribal enterprises.
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote and strengthen entrepreneurship by making entrepreneurial knowledge accessible to all and creating an ecosystem where budding rural-tribal entrepreneurs (as well as their promoters) can get a one-stop solution for all their entrepreneurial needs.
Our driving force
Rural Enterprise stakeholders know the empowering potential of business development services to improve the economic conditions of the women and poor, especially those in rural-tribal areas. However, empirical evidence to date shows that only 40% of the target groups experience a truly transformative increase in income. The full impact of enterprise inclusion is yet to be realized. We created UVBS to help make enterprise inclusion work for the rural-tribal economy. Since 2018, UVBS has worked with NGOs, rural MSMEs, government departments, investors/donors and other stakeholders to identify, establish, run, scale and diversify farm, livestock, forest and non-farm based enterprises that improve the livelihood of underserved rural-tribal women. UVBS believes that facilitating access to information, technology, finance, market and network through customization of business development services leads to a transformative improvement in the lives of rural-tribal women. As consultants to non-profit institutions and other rural economic actors, our goal is to contribute to our partners’ long-term growth while they contribute to their clients’ economic well-being and sense of empowerment.
